Pregnant Pause – Week 22

May 17, 2010 at 9:07 am 18 comments

Happy Monday to you all. I’m on the brink of falling asleep this morning. I fear that if I fall asleep, I may not wake up for a few days! This weekend was our annual girl’s weekend at the beach. My three best girls and I went to Galveston and talked all day and night. I’m really not exaggerating either. I’ll tell you more about the trip later in the week.

Yesterday marked the beginning of my 22nd week. According to The Bump, Jansen is the size of a banana. (Obviously he’s much bigger around than a banana, that’s just his approximate length.)

I thought today would be a good day to post all of my bump pictures. It’s pretty shocking.

Week 22 (TODAY)

I see a HUGE difference from last week to this week. Sometimes I’m scared of how much bigger I’m going to get! It makes me very thankful that God gives us 9 months to grow a baby instead of one or two. We all know that God has the capability to grow a baby in far less than 9 months, but obviously He knows that we can’t handle it. Physically or emotionally!

I need to start thinking about nursery furniture and decorations. My amazing husband was extremely productive over the weekend and it’s given me a burst of nesting energy. He moved the bed out of Jansen’s room… which has now showed us that we need to get our carpet cleaned. We got it cleaned last year after Rookie had an accident (to put it politely) on the carpet. Like an idiot, I told them they didn’t need to move the furniture. I honestly didn’t think it was dirty under there. I was wrong. So it looks like we’ll be inviting our dear friend Mr. Stanley over to steam our carpet again!

That’s all I’ve got for you this sleepy Monday morning. I hope everyone had as amazing of a weekend as I did. (I’m sure you didn’t.) I’ll post the Ten on Tuesday questions in a bit. If I don’t fall asleep on my keyboard first…

I really like scrolling through all the pictures. It reminds me of the photo series of the pregnant girl walking down the street on http://pacingthepanicroom.blogspot.com/

I see the difference between last week and this week, and believe me, you’re like the cutest pregnant girl I’ve seen (besides my sister/sisters-in-law, of course…gotta stick to family first).

I’m glad to hear you had fun at the beach this weekend. We’re still struggling to get out of this winter-like weather, so I’m setting my sights on the weekend after next, when we have our weekend getaway. Maybe THEN it will finally be summery!

    Monday, uggggg

We are now surpassing the breast.

Glad you had fun at the beach.

Can’t wait to see the nursery, I hope you have before and after pics.

    Glad your weekend was amazing.

Yes, I see a big difference in the last week. Jansen will be growing rapidly in the next few weeks. Get ready.

You have to go look at Rebekah’s latest pictures on my blog. She’s got about 4 1/2 weeks left if Nora doesn’t decide to come early. No good ultrasound pictures. She’s a thumb sucker for sure and doesn’t like anyone invading her space!

You look so cute! If you ever feel huge just take a look at my weekly pictures and then you won’t feel so bad (although lately I haven’t been good about taking them) ! I am very sleepy today also and I have no time to be, we start moving in less than 24 hours!

Random recommendation from the book I sent you – Unless you want a BUNCH of themed nick-knacks for Jansen’s room, you may want to resist telling everyone about the theme before baby showers.

Yeah, you can see a change from last week. So cute. At least you’re just growing straight out. I’m still struggling with the last 10 pounds that happened in the other direction! Ha. ๐Ÿ™‚

If I skim really fast, you grow before my eyes!

I think I figured out how to link my comments back to my blog. I am a genius!๐Ÿ˜‰

Wow – it’s amazing to see the difference over the past weeks. Unreal how much your body can change over the span of a week.. and over the span of 36-40. Just amazing! ๐Ÿ™‚ You look just wonderful!

Awwww…such a cute little belly bump! HUGE difference from week 10 to week 22 for sure. And it’s only gonna get bigger…

  • 15. Stephany  |  May 17, 2010 at 4:42 pm

Your belly seemed to GROW so much over one week! I love your bump, it’s adorable. You are definitely glowing.๐Ÿ™‚

You should make a slideshow of your pictures- all one behind the other!! (I could help if necessary!!) : )

Glad you had a fun weekend- as far as the baby furniture- I prefer dark furniture to light, but if you’re going for a more airy look or if you want super dark painted walls and lighter pieces to brighten things up, then go with the white!

  • 17. Candi  |  May 18, 2010 at 1:05 pm

Awww you look fantastic! Congrats on your baby boy!

  • 18. Emily Jane  |  May 19, 2010 at 1:48 pm
