100 Things

Everything you could possibly ever want to know about me… plus 99 more things.

1. I was born November 17, 1984
2. in Clear Lake, Texas
3. and have lived here ever since.
4. I got married when I was 22,
5. about 2 months after graduating
6. from the University of Texas at Austin,
7. which I believe to be the best school in the nation
8. located in the best city
9. of the best state.
10. I met my husband at community group
11. (a Bible Study group at Austin Stone Community Church)
12. and also met many wonderful friends there.
13. My husband’s name is Stephen.
14. He was also born in Houston
15. but we didn’t meet until college
16. which is a good thing because he wouldn’t have liked me in high school.
17. I didn’t really like me in high school.
18. Speaking of high school, I went to a small Lutheran high school
19. and feel very privileged to have had that opportunity
20. because LSA is like a family
21. and I love many of the faculty and students dearly.
22. I never learned how to write properly
23. since I was a marketing major, not an English major,
24. but I love to write anyways.
25. I have a dog and I
26. named her Rookie
27. because I love baseball;
28. specifically, the Astros,
29. Rice
30. (because my cousin plays there),
31. and UT.
32. I have an amazing family
33. that includes a mom and dad
34. that have been married since 1980,
35. a brother named Justin,
36. a sister-in-law named Laura,
37. and a sister named Lindsay.
38. I am the middle child.
39. I have wonderful in-laws as well
40. but I don’t write about them too often
41. since I haven’t been in the family for too long
42. and don’t want to scare them away!
43. We have one baby boy named Jansen
44. who was born on September 2, 2010.
45. We always knew our first son’s middle name would be Bridges
46. because it’s Stephen’s middle name
47. and his dad’s middle name
48. but I wished it could be his first name
49. but they wouldn’t let me.
50. We want at least three kids
51. and we will learn the sex before they are born
52. so we can talk to him/her by name
53. and paint the nursery
54. and stay away from “gender neutral” things.
55. I always say that I want boys
56. but of course I’d love a girl
57. but really I don’t care
58. as long as they are healthy.
59. I don’t always love my house
60. because we are messy
61. and it is old
62. and has ugly carpet
63. and dark wood trim
64. and nasty wallpaper.
65. But I do love our new bathroom
66. that we had to remodel
67. because the other one was destroyed
68. during hurricane Ike
69. along with our fence.
70. I love to read
71. but nothing too intellectual
72. because I’m really not that smart.
73. I love to sleep,
74. cook
75. (but not bake
76. because I am not a very patient person.)
77. I love white wine,
78. raspberry mojitos,
79. a good margarita,
80. and cold Bud Light
81. but I don’t drink much.
82. I don’t make girl friends easily
83. and I’m not sure why
84. and I don’t want you to tell me why
85. because I’m too fragile.
86. I get terrible migraines,
87. I have a herniated disc,
88. and I have about 89,273 other random ailments.
89. I love Jesus
90. and know that should be #1 on my list
91. but He’ll forgive me
92. because He always does.
93. I am crazy blessed
94. but often take it for granted.
95. I am truly touched that you read my blog
96. and hope you get a little something out of it.
97. I love reading your comments
98. and hearing your feedback.
99. I cannot believe you made it to the bottom!
100. That’s why I love you so much!

Your 100 things made me laugh. I disagree with #72–I do not know you but you can’t be too intellectually deficient if you started and fancied up a blog 🙂 I too have about 88,763 ailments (including migraines) which is, in my humble opinion, 88,762 too many for someone my age.

Hey! I made it to the end. 🙂 And I’m gong to try them with chocolate chip cookies! YUM! Do you use almond bark or melted chocolate chips on yours?

PS I live in Houston. 🙂

#72 is totally not true!! and #82…I don’t make girlfriends very easily either, and I don’t really know why. And I think we would be great friends if I lived in Houston!!! 🙂

So, um, I love lists like this! One of my best friends graduated from UT. The Longhorn love is unlike any other, I think 🙂 She’s not much of a football fan, but if they’re playing, watch out!
