Ice Day

I’m not dead, but thanks for checking. That’s the good thing about being a blogger – I could never be left for dead in my house for several days, one of you would eventually come check on me. You know, besides the fact that my husband and my son would likely notice.

Anyways, you’ve probably heard but the entire city of Houston has shut down. Originally they thought we were going to have snow. Laugh all you want, Canadians, but Houstonians don’t know how to drive in snow. We don’t have those fancy trucks that go around and make the roads safe. Turns out, we didn’t get snow, we got a nice layer of ice. There were countless accidents during the night from people accidentally driving on black ice.

Since we knew this was coming, most schools and offices were closed. Consequently, last night felt like Friday night and I flat out forgot to write my post until about 11:45 when I was pumping. I decided not to write anything. So this is me, not writing anything.

Have a great weekend, y’all!

We probably couldn’t have gotten much more snow this year…you’d think people here could drive in the winter with snow, but they even have issues here. 🙂 We have had above 0 temps lately, so unusual for us. Darn global warming!!!

Have no fear, there’s plenty of Canadian who don’t know how to drive in the snow either. 😉

We don’t know how to do it up here in NC either – hence why schools were closed for over a week over a few inches of snow. Crazy! Enjoy your ice days!
