Well yesterday was not fun. Stephen, Jansen, and I all stayed home sick. Stephen has a sinus infection that is really killing him. I really have no idea what’s wrong with me but I’m sure it has something to do with sinuses. If mine turns into an infection, I will take that as a message from God to quit breastfeeding and take some stinking drugs!

I think I’m going to made some peas for Jansen this weekend. I bought more baby food storage cubes so I have more space for freezing. I need to make him a veggie that isn’t orange so he doesn’t turn into an Oompa Loompa. Any other suggestions for an easy, non-orange veggie?

Sad to say that I have purchased two bags of mini Robin Eggs. (I wish they were called Robins’ Eggs… that sounds so much better.) They are so delicious and I don’t want to tell you how many I’ve eaten. I think it’s okay because they only come around once a year and I won’t be wasting any calories on jelly beans or Peeps. That stuff is just nasty.

We got Walk the Line on Netflix and I think we’ll watch it this weekend. I’ve never seen it. Is it good? Seems like it would be, I like Johnny Cash.

I know everyone is tired of hearing about Charlie Sheen, but I just need to say that I think it’s all really sad. Something is seriously wrong with him and I really hope he gets help before it’s too late. I also think it’s sad that the whole world knows about his issues. He’s publicized himself so much that bagillions of people are just staring at him and watching him fall apart. Sad. Very sad.

You know how when someone mentions lice or ants, you start itching terribly? I’m having that experience with pink eye. Ever since I heard that Jansen has it, I keep thinking my eye is crusting over and maybe it will fall out. There has been no juice or crust, but I can’t stop thinking about it.

I completely agree about Charlie Sheen. It’s so hard to watch someone go down this path and see the entire world just watching and laughing. So sad.
Walk the Line? One of my favorites. It’s sad, obviously, but I love Reese and Joaquin.
Hope you and your family feel better soon!

Henry likes avocado, and there’s no cooking involved. Peel and puree.
Walk The Line is a fantastic movie. Love it!
I’m wondering if I can skip Easter candy all together – do you think my toddler would mind?

Squash? Nora loves them.
Everytime you say “juices” in reference to eyes I throw up in my mouth a little. Ha.
Walk the Line is a great movie. Sometimes Joaquin (spell? don’t have time to check it) goes over the top, but I still like the story.

Definitely try avocado. All three of mine loved it and it is easy to fix (just mash and add some water if you need to thin it) and easy to take on the go as well. And full of great nutrients for the baby.
Hope you are feeling better soon. It’s no fun to be nursing and sick, but there are some things you can take while nursing. Make sure to check before you give up!

Avocado! Both of my kids loved it and it’s so simple.
I made all of Taylor’s baby food and found simple recipes on this site: http://wholesomebabyfood.com/

Totally agreed on the Sheen thing. I really wish he’d take himself out of the media spotlight and just get the help he needs, or that the media would stop perpetuating all of it. It’s just ridiculous. And doesn’t say much about America/our culture that we (collective we) sit and stare and watch his demise. Not cool.
Walk The Line… so good. So intense, but so good. Very well acted by all parties. I hope you like it! Just be prepared for some rough scenes throughout.
Hope you all feel much, much better soon! ❤

Luke really liked yellow squash and peas. Both really easy to cook and mash.
If you’re having sinus problems, try a product by NeilMed called SinusRinse. It’s like $10 at Walgreens… it’s very similar to what a netipot does… you just fill up the squeeze bottle with warm distilled water, add their saline solution, and then follow the directions to rinse your sinuses. LOL. I thought it would be really nasty, but i tried it since I’m preggo and can’t take cold medicine. It’s really helped clear out my sinuses the last 3 days. They give you enough packets for 50 rinses; i’ve been doing one in the morning and one in the evening. Hope you guys feel better!!

Walk the Line is fantastic! : ) Reese Witherspoon is totally charming.
I agree about Charlie Sheen. Somebody needs to intervene otherwise I feel like we are going to see a very sad ending to this story. Clearly, there is a mental health component, even aside from the drug problem, that needs to be dealt with!

Agree with everyone else. Walk the Line is very good. I’ve never paid much attention to Joaquin Phoenix, but he’s great and so is Reese. They are both very good singers too.

I’m happy to hear you got your Robin Eggs! (I also agree that it sounds weird to say ROBIN eggs instead of ROBIN’S eggs.) I’m also craving more even though I ate an entire bag in a 24-hour period. Yikes. 🙂
I really hope you guys have a relaxing weekend and can get better!

I wasn’t a Johnny Cash fan until I saw Walk the Line. It’s a great movie.

Your poor, poor sweet baby!! I hope he starts feeling much better soon. Pink eye is awful, that poor thing.
Walk the Line is a good movie! Watch it for the awesome country floral dresses Reese Witherspoon wears if nothing else.

Avocado or peas are my green veggie suggestions.
Also, I think the whole Charlie Sheen thing is really sad. As a society, we are totally contributing to his self-destruction by giving him all this attention.
