Ten on Tuesday (13)

Week 13’s questions are brought to you by Sarah at Keeping Up With the Johnsons. It’s a random bunch! I love getting questions from y’all. I am always so tickled to see the stuff y’all come up with!

1. Are you usually late, early, or right on time?
I used to be early or right on time. But since I got married that has changed. If I’m going somewhere by myself, I’m still early. But if we are going somewhere together, we’re either right on time or late. I’ve picked up a few of Stephen’s “slow moving” habits. It makes me SICK when we are late. I think it’s disrespectful.

2. What is your middle name?
Rebecca

3. What are the last 4 digits of your cell phone number?
3261

4. How big is your bed?
A glorious king!! Anytime we sleep in a bed any smaller, I don’t get much sleep. I can’t be touched while I sleep, a king makes this possible. My parents bought us bedroom furniture for a wedding gift and my mom encouraged us to get a king. At the time we lived in an apartment and didn’t have space for a king, two side tables, and two dressers. She told us to deal with it because we’d regret it if we didn’t get the king. She was right.

5. What are you allergic to?
I wish I knew. I thought it was laundry detergent but I switched to that allergy free stuff and I’m still itchy. I’m not nearly as bad as I was but I’ve now been itching for about 3 months. It’s exhausting.

6. What is the first thing you do in the morning?
Push snooze, curse the morning, wish it was Saturday, etc. etc. Then once Stephen pops my toes, I get up to go pee and shower.

7. What was your favorite TV show growing up?
Full House probably. I loved all of those cheesy family shows: Step by Step, Family Matters, Growing Pains, Home Improvement. This is one of those questions that I’ll be saying “OH YEAH!” as I’m visiting y’alls blogs and reading your answers.

8. Will you, or did you, go to your 10 year high school reunion?
Not there yet. If we have one, I’m sure I’ll go. There were a whopping 61 of us in my class and with facebook, I’ve been able to keep up with most of them.

9. If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it, does it still make a sound?
I’m going to go with a big, fat YES on this one.

10. What, in your opinion, is the greatest invention? (You know, since sliced bread…)
The internet. No? Okay, maybe soap or electricity or refrigeration. Or my pillow that curves to support my neck.

That was short and sweet. Good questions, Sarah! These are more fun when I don’t have to make the questions. I love that we’re getting some newbies participating, it’s such a fun way to get to know y’all!

Here’s Mr Linky. Just click on him and add your link so we can visit!

Also, to give credit where credit is due… my coat from yesterday’s post comes from Kohl’s and my purse was a Christmas gift from my hip sister. I believe she got it from Charming Charlie.

1.Are you usually late, early, or right on time?
Depends on where I am going, but if I tell you I will be there at a certain time, then I am there on time. I guess I am late for work, but they wanted us to take a 30 min lunch each day and I decided to take breakfast instead, so am I really late?
    2. What is your middle name?
Dannette, like Annette but with a duh at the beginning, should I take that personal, nah, I know my mother loves me.
    3. What are the last 4 digits of your cell phone number?
0000- I don’t have one, last time I saw mine it was on the trunk of my car and when I got back from the store it was gone, I can’t imagine what happened to it.
    4. How big is your bed?
Full- of me and my animals, I would get a bigger bed, but I don’t think it would matter, up my butt is where they want to be.
    5. What are you allergic to?
Hate- nothing else that I am aware of.
    6. What is the first thing you do in the morning?
Scratch my butt, and drink coffee
    7. What was your favorite TV show growing up?
Wonder Women, I always wanted to be like her, spin around in a circle and in less than 5 seconds become this well tanned, fully busted woman in a leotard that can kick your …, oh yeah, and those boots, those are the ones you need to be fancying around in.
    8. Will you, or did you, go to your 10 year high school reunion?
No and no, the first no is rather irrelevant, but it does make me feel good to ponder that I could be considering the first 10 years again.
    9. If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it, does it still make a sound?
I will let you know when the coons get back to me, they are going to ask the beavers, who they say are the experts in this area.
    10. What, in your opinion, is the greatest invention? (You know, since sliced bread…)
Delayed wind shield wipers, very annoying to be in a sprinkle with out them

You’d hate me because I am always late. It is bad.
I am the same way with sleeping about not being touched. We only have a queen but it works fine. One day hopefully I’ll have a king!

I love this idea! I think I’m going to give it a try on my blog. 8)

  • 3. fritz  |  January 12, 2010 at 9:32 am

i am totally there with you on the king bed…just last night kevin was thinking out loud that we do have enough space in the apartment for a king…then i reminded him that would require all new sheets ect and that is sooo not in the budget right now!

  • 4. Sarah @ This Heavenly Life  |  January 12, 2010 at 10:34 am

Stephen pops your toes!? And this isn’t grounds for divorce?! Ya’ll are…interesting. And yes, I threw that ya’ll in for your Texas ears. 🙂

  • 5. Pippy  |  January 12, 2010 at 10:54 am

We have a queen sized bed frame, with a FULL mattress sitting on it.
You have no idea how badly we NEED that Queen, but a king sounds absolutely heavenly.

  • 6. Taryn E  |  January 12, 2010 at 12:10 pm

    1. Are you usually late, early, or right on time?
We are almost always early. Rob and I hate to be late for things. I have to get Luke ready, most times, too, so that requires even more prep time!

    2. What is your middle name?
    Nora

    3. What are the last 4 digits of your cell phone number?
    6205

    4. How big is your bed?
A queen. I have no idea why we didn’t go with the king. It gets a little cramped when Yoda decides he needs to snuggle on the bed with me.

    5. What are you allergic to?
Onions. Severe, vomiting, near-anaphylactic shock kind of allergic. Makes eating out an adventure every time.

    6. What is the first thing you do in the morning?
Hit the snooze button. Then get in the shower and get ready for work before Luke wakes up.

    7. What was your favorite TV show growing up?
When I was little, The Muppet Show. Also a big fan of Cheers, the Cosby Show and Different World, MASH, and various other saturday morning cartoons.

    8. Will you, or did you, go to your 10 year high school reunion?
My class was really small so we didn’t have a 10 year reunion. This past year, a bunch of classes got together after homecoming to have a reunion, but I wasn’t able to go. Hopefully I’ll be able to make it this year!

    9. If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it, does it still make a sound? I’m gonna have to say yes.

    10. What, in your opinion, is the greatest invention? (You know, since sliced bread…) I live in Florida, so air-conditioning is pretty high on my list.

  • 7. Clare  |  January 12, 2010 at 12:11 pm

“Stephen pops my toes” huh? is toe popping the new cracking knuckles?! If so I AM NOT DOWN!

  • 8. Kyla Roma  |  January 12, 2010 at 12:24 pm

This is too funny! I love the things this brings out!

For instance, I can’t sleep if I’m not touched, I’m happiest if Mister and I are practically stacked on top of each other in our queen sized bed.

As for the allergies, have you tried moving away from scented products?

I’ve never been sensitive to chemical scents but recently I’ve been having low level reactions to scented anything- hand soap & lotions can make me itchy, and if I spray on perfume after exfoliating (so I guess my skin is more open) I break into hives in those spots where I spray it. Getting an unscented lotion might be a good next step if you’re still having trouble.

PS – Can anyone submit questions for these? I would love to ask the internet a bunch of questions! lol

  • 9. Kim  |  January 12, 2010 at 12:36 pm

Wow- only 61? That’s awesome. Your reunion sounds like a lot more fun then mine was.

  • 10. jill  |  January 12, 2010 at 1:08 pm

  • 21. BLT  |  January 17, 2010 at 1:00 am

    This is my second week.
    1. Are you usually late, early, or right on time?
I’m a combination of the three. It all depends on where I am going. Also I hate being late, sometimes, I am just not that motivated to get to where I am going.
    2. What is your middle name?
    Leanna
    3. What are the last 4 digits of your cell phone number?
    2428?
    4. How big is your bed?
A Queen. It’s perfect for when I want to cuddle (more room for smothering yourself with covers). It’s also perfect when my 5 foot tall frame wants to stretch out and take up all of the room I’m able to.
    5. What are you allergic to?
    Penicillin and Keflex.
    6. What is the first thing you do in the morning?
Push snooze, curse the morning, wish it was a morning off, if not a day off, from work. Then I turn the ceiling fan off (I can do that from the bed with a remote), and get up and use the bathroom.
    7. What was your favorite TV show growing up?
Home Improvement and Growing Pains. The Cosby Show, ALF, Star Bright, Josie and the PussyCats, Are You Afraid of the Dark. Oh man, there are millions.
    8. Will you, or did you, go to your 10 year high school reunion?
Not there yet. If we have one, I’ll probably go.
    9. If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it, does it still make a sound?
I’m going to go with a big, fat YES on this one.
    10. What, in your opinion, is the greatest invention? (You know, since sliced bread…)
Pencils. Seriously, think of all you can do with a pencil. Journal, draw. Also, Bikes are the greatest invention, too. Pencils and bicycles are pretty equal on the “Greatest Invention Ever” scale.
