This week’s list comes from Stephany at Stephany Writes. Stephany and I are fairly new blog friends. I’m not sure what it is about her blog that I like so much, I can’t pinpoint one thing… I just read it an liked it. You know how that goes?? Sometimes you just stumble upon a blog and think to yourself, “Self, I think I could really enjoy this blog!” And the rest is history. I don’t know if she found me or if I found her, but that’s not important. What’s important is that we found each other!
1. What was the last concert you’ve been to?
Ironically, I touched on this yesterday. The last concert I went to was The David Crowder Band. It was great but I would have loved for it to have been a tad bit louder. DCB needs to be loud.
2. Is it easy to make you cry?
Yes and no. I get a lump in my throat pretty easily but I rarely cry. I think it’s because I look like death when I cry. I get a splotchy red face and my nose looks like Rudolph and my eyes turn this amazing shade of green. I like the eyes part but the rest is just not good. So I try to avoid it. Plus, it’s much more fun to cry alone than it is with a husband. Husbands don’t know how to handle tears… especially irrational ones.
3. Do you ever feel like people underestimate you?
No. I feel like people overestimate me.
4. Name 7 completely random things that you like:
1. Man Vs. Food on the Travel Channel.
2. Using my Notary stamp. I love the sound.
3. My tiny NASB Bible that I keep in my purse.
4. The smell and sound of dry erase markers.
5. Reading Sunday ads.
6. Spiral notebooks that have been written in with ballpoint pen on both sides of the pages.
7. My A Store (<– that’s a link). It’s my latest obsession. It’s like Oprah’s Favorite Things… only they are my favorite things, and I’m not giving them to you. I’m just telling you to buy them.
5. What’s your favorite reality TV show and why?
Uhhh duh! The Biggest Loser! Why? Because it’s fun and shocking and family friendly and inspiring and addictive and I can’t help but watch it and it makes me write run-on sentences. Speaking of, season finale TONIGHT!!
6. What is your favorite hair care product?
Does the Chi count? It’s technically a product. And I love it because it makes sure my bangs aren’t psycho. And it flattens out my weird half curl cowlick on the side of my head.
7. What’s your favorite song at the moment?
Stephen and I really love Need You Now by Lady Antebellum. He always wants me to sing a duet with him but I’m too scared that his ears will melt or that he’ll divorce me.
8. What’s the number one thing on your Christmas wishlist?
Dining room chairs. We are saving to buy them though because I don’t anticipate Santa bringing 8 wooden cafe height dining room chairs down the chimney. He’s magical but I don’t think that even he could do that!
9. Have you ever lost your cell phone?
Nope. Knock on wood. I’ve lost it in the oh-crap-where-is-my-phone?-Oh-there-it-is way. But never in the oh-crap-where-is-my-cell-phone?-(crickets)-Crap!-It’s-gone way.
10. Did you attack the hordes of shoppers for Black Friday?
Nope. There weren’t any stores in the part of the country I was hanging out in. But my husband attacked a few things… More on that later in the week.
You know the drill. Do your ToT and make sure to link back to my blog. Add my button if you’re fancy like that. Be sure to visit other ToTers.
As of 10:30 on Monday night, the Mr Linky site isn’t working. I’ll check it again in the morning but if it doesn’t work, leave your link in the comments.
*Edited: Mr Linky is working now. Add your link there.

Haha! You enjoy it when spirals are written on BOTH sides with ball point pens?!

I totally love Man verses food. I have cooked P dubs cin. rolls, ribeye with blue cheese, and pot. pockets (after hearing you rave on blog), and I had to color the gray. Really… it was starting to make me look really old.
Love Lady Antebellum! My daughter and I belt it out way too loud in the van on trips.
The Chi is a lifesaver for people with any curl or frizz. Thank you Chi, you are my hair hero!

Thanks for reminding me of the finale!! I honestly had forgotten all about it. Too many Christmas movies lately. I don’t even know what day it is…well, I do now.
Happy Tuesday!

Chi products are the ONLY thing that works on my hair too!!
And I’ve never watched an episode of the Biggest Loser…

That’s funny that you like spiral notebooks where the pages have been written on both sides with a ballpoint pen. I have a love/hate relationship with that. If then pen is a tad too dark, I don’t like it, because I don’t like to see the writing on the other side, but if it’s just light enough, it works marvellously.

1. What was the last concert you’ve been to?
Probably Jimmy Buffett, back in college. Haven’t been to any concerts lately (kids tend to do that to you.)
2. Is it easy to make you cry?
I get the lump in the throat a lot of times, but I rarely cry. It takes a lot to make me cry. (Except when I was pregnant and the few weeks after… those hormones are baaaad.)
3. Do you ever feel like people underestimate you?
Sometimes. For the most part, I feel like people expect too much from me.
4. Name 7 completely random things that you like:
1. Deadliest Catch
2. my black Reef flip flops. I wear them almost every day.
3. “sun & sand” candles from Yankee Candle Co.
4. lint rollers… it’s very satisfying to make a black outfit look perfect!
5. Crayons. I love the smell. I love coloring… it’s very soothing.
6. Old Navy Perfect T’s.
7. CutesyGirl dot com. Fabulous shoes, cheap price.
5. What’s your favorite reality TV show and why?
this season, definitely Survivor! Russell H. makes everyone else look like amateurs. 🙂
6. What is your favorite hair care product?
John Freida Ocean Waves Sea Salt Spray. They don’t make it anymore, so I bought like 10 bottle of it. It smells like coconut and has a little bit of oil and sea salt in it… makes my hair hold curl and smell like I’ve been at the beach.
7. What’s your favorite song at the moment?
Whataya want from Me by Adam Lambert. Its ridiculously catchy. I love that whole album, actually.
8. What’s the number one thing on your Christmas wishlist?
New couches. However, we are moving into a new house, so I think I’m gonna have to wait.
9. Have you ever lost your cell phone?
No. and I’m not planning on it.
10. Did you attack the hordes of shoppers for Black Friday?
I did NO shopping this past weekend. I did do some Cyber monday shopping though.

jill | December 1, 2009 at 10:56 am
I also look terrible when I cry. Same “awesome” yet weird shade of blue-green eyes. Red splotchy face, red nose (that I swear looks larger from crying), and just general ugliness.
I was so tired when I wrote my ToT last night that I don’t even remember my answers to some of these questions. Who knows what I wrote…LOL

Just posted my answers! I’m hoping to come up with a list of questions soon, too!
I’m pretty excited for the finale tonight. 🙂

“3. Do you ever feel like people underestimate you?
No. I feel like people overestimate me.”
I know everything you write on here is exactly how you feel, but sometimes you write things that are so truly “Chelsea” I can’t help but giggle at my desk!!!

I am actually going to post my answers today! I’m becoming more of a blogger every day….now I just need a blog…!
1. What was the last concert you’ve been to?
Let’s see, I went to the So You Think You Can Dance live tour last month, but I guess that’s not a true blue concert. I think the last real concert I went to was Billy Joel/Elton John – AMAAAAAZING! But I really want to go to either the Ten Tenors or Mannheim Steamroller this month! I love Christmas music!
2. Is it easy to make you cry?
Not really….well TV shows/commercials bring a tear to my eye quite often. (Those “having a baby changes everything” ones always choke me up!) But I don’t really cry about real life stuff much. I definitely have my days, though.
3. Do you ever feel like people underestimate you?
No. I definitely feel like people overestimate me. Especially at work.
4. Name 7 completely random things that you like:
1. TEA! I am getting my caffeine fix as we speak, hence the enthusiasm.
2. Being ahead of schedule.
3. A brisk day – LOVE winter in AZ!
4. When my husband and I think something is funny that no one else does. We have such a weird sense of humor.
5. My two goofy bulldogs. They make me laugh no less than 20 times a day.
6. Cardigans
7. Waking up in the morning and realizing you have nowhere to be.
5. What’s your favorite reality TV show and why?
Ok Chelsea, don’t hate me for not saying BL…. I do love the BL. BUT I also love So You Think You Can Dance. I’m sometimes embarrassed to admit it, but man that show is awesome. I love it because they make beat boys do the fox trot and whatnot. I also love watching bollywood routines!!
6. What is your favorite hair care product?
Hmmm this is actually kind of a hard one, because I’m kinda low maintenance (aka cheap) when it comes to hair care products. Can I say my blow dryer? Honestly, I could not live without it. I can’t remember the last time I let my hair air dry. Who has time for that these days?
7. What’s your favorite song at the moment?
Well I’m a sucker for Christmas music, so I am totally digging my Trans-Siberian Orchestra CD right now. Especially Carol of the Bells. If that song doesn’t put you in the Christmas mood, I don’t know what will. But Christmas music aside….It’s not a new song, but In the Light by DC Talk is possibly my all time favorite song.
8. What’s the number one thing on your Christmas wishlist?
Southwest gift cards. I’m pretty sure that’s what we’re getting from my in-laws. I live far away from my family and every bit helps!
9. Have you ever lost your cell phone?
Nope!
10. Did you attack the hordes of shoppers for Black Friday?
Nope. I have never been shopping on Black Friday. I’m never on the ball enough to know what’s on sale or what gifts I want to get for people.

That A Store thing is awesome! I’m totally setting up one of those!

It’s true, husbands don’t know how to handle tears. Want to make a guy feel helpless? Start crying. Want to make a guy feel helpless and bewildered? Start crying irrationally.

So your comment made me stumble on over to your blog and I love Man vs Food. He was recently in my town and for my birthday I’m making all my friends go and eat the giant pizza that he had on the show. I too wish for nothing more than household items for Christmas and my husband doesn’t know how to handle it. My super secret if I could be anything would be to be a notary. I’ve wanted to be one since I was little. I have no idea why and I am super jealous of my notary coworker. I totally want to steal her stamp. So yes, now we have to be friends just so I can steal your notary stamp. 🙂

I love your AStore. If I weren’t so sure that no one cares what products I like, I’d totally make one for myself. 🙂
Just so you know, you got me started watching the Biggest Loser and I’m really loving it. I had never seen an episode before.
19.
Lyndsey | December 1, 2009 at 3:51 pm
1. What was the last concert you’ve been to?
George Strait with my best friend Chelsea! Sugarland opened and they were really awesome too.
2. Is it easy to make you cry?
It is easy for movies, commercials, books, and magazine articles to make me cry, but not people.
3. Do you ever feel like people underestimate you?
Yes. Mostly at work.
4. Name 7 completely random things that you like:
1. Cigars
2. The smell of gasoline, pipe smoke, tires, cut grass, and leather.
3. Infomercials on Sunday mornings.
4. Getting mail.
5. Cake. Which I know is not random, but I love it so much that I have to mention it EVERY time someone asks me what I like.
6. Going to the movies alone.
7. Tabloids.
5. What’s your favorite reality TV show and why?
I would have to say the biggest loser because it is the only reality show that doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable. I can’t event watch The Office and it is a fake reality show.
6. What is your favorite hair care product?
Obviously my chi, because without it I would look like 1984 everyday. I also really love the small clips that I put my bangs back with.
7. What’s your favorite song at the moment?
I love “Sex on Fire” by Kings of Leon and anything by Taylor Swift.
8. What’s the number one thing on your Christmas wishlist?
Well the number one thing on my Christmas list was an entertainment center, but I got it early. So, the new number one thing on my Christmas/birthday list is an iPhone.
9. Have you ever lost your cell phone?
Yes. I have also dropped one off of a balcony, in foam at a foam party, and in a beer.
10. Did you attack the hordes of shoppers for Black Friday?
Yes. But not for any serious shopping. It was fun!

Is it a good or bad thing that you have no idea why you like my blog? 😉
I’m ridiculously excited to see my questions at your ToT! How cool!
21.
Sister | December 1, 2009 at 5:22 pm
1. What was the last concert you’ve been to?
Brad Paisley..AWESOME!
2. Is it easy to make you cry?
Yes! Oh my gosh I cry all the time…unless you catch me on the rare 2 or 3 days a month that I’m like stone.
3. Do you ever feel like people underestimate you?
I used to..but now I think they overestimate me.
4. Name 7 completely random things that you like:
1. JIMMY JOHN’S!
2. Playing Solitaire on my iPod
3. Long drives with friends
4. A cold Bud Light Lime on a hot day
5. My class ring.
6. Buying new journals and pads of paper
7. Sitting in Starbucks, just talking to a friend.
5. What’s your favorite reality TV show and why?
Biggest Loser and The Little Couple. I’ve always loved The Biggest Loser, but I recently got into The Little Couple. I saw that they are in Houston and started to watch and it is so cool! They go places I’ve gone to and work at places I’ve seen. SOOO Cool. Plus they are less obnoxious about being “little people” than Matt Roloff is from Little People Big World.
6. What is your favorite hair care product?
I actually don’t know the name. It’s a gel ore .. basically
volumizing gel in hairspray form. If I don’t use it when I straighten my hair, it is ridiculously flat.
7. What’s your favorite song at the moment?
Defying Gravity..the Glee version. UH-MAZING
8. What’s the number one thing on your Christmas wishlist?
A new digital camera..mine is broken
9. Have you ever lost your cell phone?
No, it’s always with me. It’s been broken before..for 2 weeks..which isn’t helpful during finals time when you’re a freshman in college!
10. Did you attack the hordes of shoppers for Black Friday?
Psh no. I was out in the middle of no where south Texas..no stores there!

I wanted to answer with my Chi for the hair one as well. It’s a miracle maker. I don’t know what I would do without it and they last forever! I’ve had mine for like 4-5 years and it is still good as new!
And yah – re: your comment about not even going out at 5 am for free stuff? Unless it was something really awesome and they had a huge supply, I just couldn’t do it. I can’t handle large crowds and people elbowing and pushing in line, etc. I just don’t deal well with it so it wouldn’t be worth the stress to get something free…

I think people overestimate me too. I’m pretty sure I should be happy and grateful for that, but sometimes it’s overwhelming.

This Heavenly Life | December 2, 2009 at 11:35 am
I LOVE full spiral notebooks. Not to read, neccessarily, but just the feel of them. All crackly and puffed up from writing. Why is that?
